Bonsai artist Tony Tickle from the UK for his dramatic cascade Pinus sylvestris presented with a companion plant below and a soaring vulture above.
Bonsai artist Enzo Ferrari from Switzerland for his cascade yamadori Mugo pine.
Bonsai artist Paul Putseys from Belgium won the BCI Award of Excellence for his Sabina juniper. His friend, Lijdie Buedts received the award in his place.
François Buttin, president of Bonsaï Club de haute Provence for his mountain stone from the Swiss Alps. Pierre Chantry accepted the award on his behalf.

Quentin Valentine, for his Seiju Elm, Ulmus parvifolia ‘Seiju’. Ground grown for about 7 years. Dug from the growing bed in 2006. Planted in a bonsai pot and developed since then. It was also selected by guest headliner Bjorn Bjorholm as best tree of the show.
